This week is National School Counselors Week. Ms. Mendenhall is Morningside’s school counselor. She loves positive connections with Families, Students, and Staff. If you see her, take a minute to thank her for all she does for our school!

We have a couple big events happening next week. on Wednesday February 4th we will be celebrating the 100th day of school. We encourage students and staff to dress like the are 100 years old. Also on Friday February 6th the Morningside PTA will be hosting the annual Glow dance. Information about both dates will be sent home with students today.
Preschool enrollment is almost here!
Don’t miss your chance to enroll your child in one of the Sioux City Community School District’s high-quality preschool classrooms. With limited spots available, applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis beginning Sunday, February 8 at 4:00 PM.

Hello Eagle families — Monday, January 26th is our next “Get Energized Day. ”
Get energized by wearing shades of turquoise or vibrant blue including cobalt, sapphire, ultramarine, royal, or azure. These colors are considered energizing because of their high saturation, which stimulates the mind, boosts creativity, and promotes a sense of rejuvenation. Eagle staff and students can all join in on the fun together! Don’t forget to wear those wristbands, too!
Due to the extreme cold, there will be no school on Friday, January 23 in the Sioux City Community School District. Activities will be held as scheduled. Thank you.
